GIANT KILLER INSTINCT
Bournemouth are solid at home. The Cherries defeated Leicester City 1-0 earlier in the season in a hard fought duel. They went on to beat Liverpool 4-3, rallying against Jürgen Klopp’s side to win a seven-goal thriller. Arsenal were given a massive shock when they went 3 goals down, but completed a turn-around when Olivier Giroud leveled late. Bournemouth also drew goalless with Manchester United despite been reduced to 10 men just before the half.
Chelsea have yet to be haunted by Eddie Howe’s tactical dynamics. Antonio Conte will need to respect his counterpart, however, with the Blues romping earlier in the day. The visitors do not want their seven-point cushion to shrink.
CRYSTAL PALACE DILEMMA
Losing at home to Crystal Palace shows Chelsea are vulnerable. The Blues let themselves down. Christian Benteke and Wilfred Zaha capitalized. David Luiz lying helplessly on the ground, pointing fingers to whom it may concern on Benteke’s goal was not a good look. They again have something to prove before they can clearly wrap up the Premier League title.

In the Londoners’ next match, it was job done against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, but the Blues looked vulnerable, a shadow of the team that kept numerous clean sheets this season. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea has really dusted off the Crystal Palace defeat.
BOURNEMOUTH’S ANFIELD HEROICS
Bournemouth showed spirit and sheer resilience to peg Liverpool back in a 2-2 draw away. Capitalizing on a poor back pass from Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum that brought to mind perhaps Steven Gerrard’s worst moment as a Red. This time, Benik Afobe stole the ball, then danced around Simon Mignolet to finish. Antonio Conte must be aware Eddie Howe’s side will punish any mistake. Chelsea must take Bournemouth seriously.
